One lifeless, 10 others injured in Quetta blast targeting police vehicle

QUETTA: At least one person was killed and 10 others injured in a blast near a police training centre on Quetta’s Sariab road on Tuesday as the nation celebrates Eid.

Militants were targeting a police patrol vehicle in the area, police sources said. The explosion left one person dead and 10 others injured, the sources added.

Paramedics reached the site of the attack and rushed the injured to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.

Security has been beefed up in the area after the blast.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

Sariab road is considered to be one of the sensitive areas of Quetta. Militants have been targeting security forces in the area for almost a decade.
