PIA flight from Multan to Karachi grounded as 'precautionary measure'

Pakistan Global Airways (PIA) on Sunday stated flight PK-581 from Multan to Karachi used to be behind schedule due to some technical problems.

Previous, some media studies recommended that an engine of the ATR plane of PIA had stuck fireplace, whilst the nationwide flag service categorically denied this kind of document.

“Opposite to media reviews neither of the 2 engines stuck fireplace and pilots at the recommendation of ATC, made up our minds now not to take off and taken the aircraft again to the parking bay,” reads a PIA remark.

A group of engineers used to be despatched to Multan and plane can be made operational after its clearance, the remark stated, including, “At the instructions of COO PIA, the aircraft has been briefly grounded as a precautionary measure.”

In the meantime, resources informed DawnNews that Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Director Common Air Marshal Retd Asim Salman has directed PIA to floor all its ATR aircrafts for inspection.
