An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi indicted the prime suspect in the Parveen Rehman murder case, Raheem Swati, in cases pertaining to attempted murder and possession of illegal arms and explosives on Monday.
Swati denied the charges against him and opted to contest the case.
Swati, the prime suspect in the Parveen Rehman murder case, was arrested in the first week of May this year. He was booked under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (7-ATA), as well as Section 353, 324 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The ATC judge read out the charges against the accused persons, however they pleaded not guilty and opted to contest the case. The court directed prosecution to produce witnesses in the next hearing.
