Those pointing fingers will soon be embarrassed, PM tells cabinet meeting

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressing a cabinet meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday criticised the opposition, saying that those pointing fingers at him would soon be embarrassed.

The PM thanked the people for rejecting the politics of agitation on the streets and expressed satisfaction that Panamagate will be resolved by the Supreme Court, Radio Pakistan reported.

The PM claimed he had personally asked the court to form a commission to investigate revelations made in the Panama Papers. A law had been drafted and a parliamentary committee constituted for this reason, but all out efforts could not bear fruit due to non-cooperation by the opposition, the prime minister claimed.
