Two Pakistani women awarded Chirac Prize in Paris for conflict prevention

Two younger Pakistani women Gulalai Ismail and Saba Ismail, co-founder of a non-governmental organisation (NGO) “Mindful Women” have been conferred with the distinguished Chirac Prize for “Conflict Prevention” in Paris.

They have got been awarded in popularity in their contributions towards construction of a tradition of peace and non-violence in the course of the motion of women and adolescence in Pakistan, learn a message won from Paris on Thursday .

The prize used to be awarded by way of the Former French Minister for Tradition Christine Albanel in an outstanding rite held in Quai Branly Museum, Paris.

The rite used to be attended among others via French President Francois Hollande, the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin-ul-Haque, intellectuals, participants of civil society, diplomats and media individuals in massive quantity.

Gulalai Ismail co-founder of NGO Mindful Women, after receiving the prize, stated that their NGO with the assistance of younger women used to be running effectively for empowerment of the women particularly in the conflict zones to result in qualitative adjustments in their way of living.

The French president whilst talking at the instance paid tributes to Mindful Women for empowerment of the women in the conflict zone.

He stated that Mindful Women used to be giving the women the likelihood to take part in and track elections, to offer schooling to women and economically empowering them via offering micro-credit.

The Ambassador congratulated the recipients on receiving the Chirac Prize and liked their paintings against empowerment of women in the conflict susceptible spaces.
